House Votes Along Party Lines to Continue Impeachment Inquiry

The House of Representatives held a vote to day on the Democrat’s resolution on whether to continue the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump’s handling of talks with Ukraine. The vote fell along party lines.

The procedural vote was 231 for and 196 against, with only 2 democrats voting against the resolution. Rep. Justin Amash a constant critic of President Trump voted, as an Independent, with Democrats in favor of the resolution.

A final vote was conducted and again passed by a vote of 232 for and 196 against. One Democrat and three Republicans abstained from the vote. The final vote was cast by electronic device which registers each vote. The resolution was adopted without objection.
