news outlets in Chicago are reporting that JussieSmollett has been indicted for his part in a fake hate crime he is thought to have orchestrated against himself.

The Cook County Clerk’s Office confirmed Tuesday that special prosecutor Dan Webb has indicted former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett in connection with the alleged attack in Streeterville in January 2019.
Webb released a statement, saying a Cook County grand jury returned a six-count indictment against Smollett, charging him with making four separate false reports to Chicago police “related to his false claims that he was the victim of a hate crime, knowing he was not the victim of a crime.”
