Boris Johnson, the UK Prime Minister, tested positive for Covid-19 on March 26 and was admitted to a local hospital yesterday after his symptoms failed to subside during self-quarantine. Today he was moved to the intensive care unit because his symptoms continue to worsen.

Johnson remains conscious and alert. He has not been put on a ventilator or respirator. Johnson has passed some of his duties to Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, including security decisions and the UK’s daily Covid-19 response.

This situation continues to develop. We will report back as news breaks.
