Trump Press Briefing Interrupted, Reports of Gunfire Outside White House


President Trump’s daily coronavirus briefing was interrupted as Secret Service escorted the president from the briefing room. Reports of gunfire were hitting the airwaves.

Two shots were fired in the vicinity of 17th and Penn near the north lawn of the White House. A lone gunman was reportedly shot by law enforcement outside the confines of the White House. The suspect was rushed to the hospital.

Journalists in the briefing room continued to take pictures from the windows of the scene outside.

The press conference has resumed without further incident.
