Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis, announced on Friday that he is lifting limitations placed on businesses due to the coronavirus pandemic.
DeSantis order the state to enter into Phase Three restrictions, effective immediately. This means that all businesses may operate freely at the level they feel is most appropriate for them and their customers. Local Florida government office that wish to remain under heightened restrictions are required to provide proof of need and a financial impact statement.
The mandate also prohibits local governments from limiting businesses to operating below 50% capacity.
The announcement makes Florida the first state in the union to allow bars and restaurants to open and operate without restriction in more than six months.
