President Trump campaign website was apparently hacked last night. The hackers replaced the normal site content with an anti-Trump message only vaguely disguised as a law enforcement seizure of the website claiming, displaying the insignia of both the FBI & Dept. of Justice. The message stated,

the trump-gov is involved in the origin of the corona virus

and ironically claimed,

we have evidence … proving his criminal involvment and coorperation with foreign actors manipulating the 2020 elections

The hackers claimed to also hacked into the personal devices of Pres. Trump and his family and made an appeal for donations to be made in one of two Monero cryptocurrency accounts, “Yes, share the data,” and the other “No, do not share the data.” presumably to determine whether or not to release the hacked data based off which account received the most donations.

Trump campaign spokesperson Tim Murtaugh issued a statement saying,

Earlier this evening, the Trump campaign website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack. There was no exposure to sensitive data because none of it is actually stored on the site. The website has been restored.

As of the time of this reporting, the FBI has not issued a statement related to the hack.
