Reuters and others are reporting that President Trump has nominated congressman John Ratcliffe (R-TX) for the position of Director of National Intelligence.
This is the second time that Trump has nominated Ratcliffe to the position. However, the first nomination was withdrawn amid complaints that Ratcliffe did not have the proper experience to fill the position.
Ratcliffe currently serves on the House Intelligence Committee and is a staunch supporter of the president. Ratcliffe is well known for his questioning of several House witnesses during the impeachment hearings.
