A 2017 Twitter feed for an attorney for alleged Ukraine-Impeachment whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, reveals a plan was already in place to remove Donald Trump from office by impeachment. In the January 2017 tweet, Mark Zaid said:
#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately.
In another tweet from July, Zaid said:
“I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president.”
In another tweet the same month Zaid tweeted,
“We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters.”
Fox News reports that there are “a slew of impeachment-related posts” , however, due to the age of the tweets, we have been unable to unroll them.
President Trump read some of the tweets out loud at his rally in Louisiana:
“45 years from now we might be recalling stories regarding the impeachment of @realDonaldTrump. I’ll be old, but will be worth the wait,
“Johnson (1868), Nixon (1973), Clinton (1998) impeachment hearings. Next up @realDonaldTrump (2017),” he said in May.
In a statement regarding the tweets, Zaid said his comments were ‘reflective’ of how he expected the Trump presidency to unfold.
