The fight continues. One of the sites that I visit regularly for news on the border is VDare. However, thanks to lawfare practiced by Leticia James (“Litigious James”) VDare might have to close its doors. A few years back, I was watching the History Channel’s “The men who built America”. JP Morgan lost a contract to build an electricity producing dam at Niagara Falls to George Westinghouse. Morgan may have lost, but he knew that Westinghouse didn’t have a lot of money. So, Morgan sued him. Lacking money for a long drawn out court battle, even if he was in the right, Westinghouse was forced to settle with Morgan. “One day, two letters were sent out to Morgan and Westinghouse, but one man will win the contract. Who will it be? Both men opened their letters and Westinghouse got the contract for the Niagara Falls project, luck was back on his side. Morgan, as expected was pissed, his fiercest rival had defeated him. Morgan wasn’t going to back down, he was going to take out his competition through intimidation. He sued Westinghouse for patent infringement of the AC design. Westinghouse realizing he didn’t have the resources to cover a legal tussle of this nature gave in, Morgan was back on top. Westinghouse was forced to sign over the patent of AC to Morgan, this move broke the company he started with Tesla.”
Likewise, VDare is a small non-profit. Litigious James has not charged them with anything, but over the course of two years, she has been subpoenaing as many VDare documents as she can. Who knows if her office is even reading the documents she is receiving? She just constantly asks for more. VDare was unfortunately formed in New York State giving James jurisdiction over non-profits.
On top of that, VDare has been suffering from cyberattacks designed to take down the website and prevent donors from sending them money by credit card.
Plus, I believe that the bullies of Litigious James and whoever is behind the cyber attack will read articles like this and gloat, then double down on attacks. In my opinion, they are devoid of introspection. They have not pondered Friedrich Nietzche’s quote,
Now, obviously, I do not consider VDare to be a monster to begin with, but our enemies seem to believe that they are guilty of bad thoughts and should be shut down for daring to question the globalist totalitarian narrative.
There is the very real possibility of VDare ceasing to exist. Even before I joined the Border Patrol, I started giving money to anti-immigrant organizations like U.S. Border Control and Americans for Immigration Reform. Today, U.S. Border Control no longer exists from what I could ascertain. In searching the internet, the nearest I could find was this article, https://bordercontrol.blogspot.com/., but their website no longer works.
As for Americans for Immigration Reform, they used to put out a great small print newspaper called Middle American News. The $PLC still lists them as a hate group https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americans_for_Immigration_Control. It took me a while to be able to even find their website, and when I did, I wasn’t able to open any of their articles. Someone is updating it though. https://www.aicfoundation.com/. Robert Goldsborough was the President of AIC, I imagine he has passed on by now. Here’s an old interview of him. https://www.thesocialcontract.com/artman2/publish/tsc_22_2/tsc_22_2_gemma.shtml. It’s an interesting history of immigration as Goldsborough worked on the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952 which upheld the quota system of the Immigration Act of 1924. https://history.state.gov/milestones/1945-1952/immigration-act.
Later in my career, in trying to find news about what was happening in other Border Patrol Sectors, I discovered AmericanBorderPatrol.com and AmericanPatrol.com (both used to take you to the same website). Unfortunately, its owner passed away and it has ceased to exist.
The three big mainstream anti-immigration groups are NumbersUSA, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and the Center for Immigration Studies. All three of them are linked to John Tanton and vilified as hate groups or fellow travelers by the $PLC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Tanton. In the eyes of the left, you cannot be against immigration without being labeled a hater. The irony is that Tanton started out founding a chapter of the Sierra Club and of Planned Parenthood, two groups on the left. It’s logical too. If you want wide open spaces and beautiful state and national parks, you cannot be for unlimited immigration which is sure to eventually drive those things and wildlife out.
This reminds me that there was an organization called Progressives for Immigration Reform. It too has ceased to exist. https://progressivesforimmigrationreform.org/. All those things the liberals like such as universal healthcare are threatened by unlimited immigration coming here. The Sierra Club used to see the dangers of immigration to the environment, but reversed itself based on a $100 million gift from David Gelbaum. They should be ashamed of themselves for prostituting their principles based on that. https://www.noozhawk.com/021712_joe_guzzardi_sierra_club/. Well, at least no one called them racist.
I no longer recall how I came across VDare. But, I remember that after I did, I was on the website daily ever since anxiously awaiting the next articles. If VDare were to cease to exist and join other organizations it would be a blow. However, we fight on.
Just because the official season of giving is over does not mean that fund raising ends. Please consider donating to VDare as we continue to fight the totalitarian bullies who seek to squash free speech.
