As The Washington Pundit discovered yesterday while researching the story of the Hunter Biden sex tapes, and now being reported by the Daily Mail, the GTV media site which released the tapes has ties to ex-Trump advisor, Steve Bannon and Chinese billionaire dissidant, Guo Wengui.
Guo has been critical of China’s communist government as one of the richest entrepreneurs in China. He currently lives in New York City, where GTV was reportedly founded, having fled China during President Xi Jinping’s anti-corruption campaign, which targeted many Chinese businessmen who were critical of the Chinese government, including Mr. Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba and close friend of Guo’s.
According to records on GTV, the company GTV Media Group was founded in April of 2020, by Bannon and Guo. GTV was recently investigated for securities fraud by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The investigation stemmed from over $300 million in private equity funds, which several investors had asked be refunded when the company failed to provide them with official documents substantiating their investments.
Bannon, along with three others, was recently indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with the We Build the Wall fund. Bannon was on a boat owned by Guo at the time of his arrest. Guo claims that the charges against Bannon were fabricated by the Chinese Communist government to “take Mr. Bannon down.”
As evidence that GTV Media Group is in fact the same entity as the GTV which released the tape, one merely needs to look at the corporate logos of the two. The Wikipedia page for GTV Media Group shows the same corporate logo for GTV Media Group Inc. that is found on the GTV website which leaked the Hunter Biden videos and photographs.
In the original TWP story about the GTV video release, we focused on what we found most interesting about the videos, namely the text messages posted at the end of the video which essentially calls Joe Biden a puppet of the Chinese communist party.
One of the messages mentions a group called “The New Federal State of China,” providing a possible clue to who was behind the release of the videos.
Again, the arrows point back to Guo. The group can be linked to Guo Wengui and Bannon, with Guo having founded the group earlier this year. In June 4th, the anniversary the Tienanmen Square massacre, Guo and Bannon appeared in New York Harbor on Guo’s 152-foot yacht to announce the founding of “The New Federal State of China.”
Bannon read the English version of the declaration, while Guo gave the announcement in his native Mandarin Chinese. Video of the event was recorded and posted to YouTube.
Guo is also known for his use of sex tapes to bring down his political foes. According to the Economist,
He (Guo) also played a part in bringing down a deputy mayor of Beijing, reportedly with the help of a sex tape of the official with a mistress.
In our story yesterday, we noted that the key areas of interest in the videos of Hunter Biden released on GTV, weren’t actually the sex tapes themselves, but the text contained within them. The people responsible for the release of the videos and photos, were clearly not aligned with the Chinese government, so were not using the videos to bribe or extort the Biden family.
Instead, it appears that the group was being critical of the Chinese Communist government, their willingness to abuse Chinese citizens in the name of acquiring extortion targets such as the Biden’s, and was meant to expose some of the tactics used by the Chinese to mark political targets that they can use to manipulate international politics through illegal business dealings and honey pots schemes.
It’s now clear that the man behind the video release is Guo Wengui. What isn’t clear is whether he had the tapes and photos already or whether they were given to him by his good friend Steve Bannon, who would most likely have gotten them from Rudy Giuliani, who has been at the forefront of releasing Biden-Ukraine-China crime story.
