As the recount continues and certification deadlines loom over the contested election outcome in Georgia, yet another mistake that went to help Joe Biden has been discovered. TWP has already reported on several counties, where votes were missed on election day. But, this mistake was big enough to cancel out all the votes acquired for President Trump in the previously missed ballots.
In a series of Twitter posts, Georgia’s GOP Chairman, David Shafer, described how one of their election recount monitors discovered a 9,626 vote error in the DeKalb County hand count. One batch of votes was labeled 10,707 for Biden and 13 for Trump, which would be statistically improbably, even in a very blue county like DeKalb. The actual count was 1,081 votes for Biden and 13 for Trump.
Shafer demonstrated how statistically ridiculous the result of this counting batch was by pointing out that the numbers, of 99.9%, looked very similar to percentages seen in well-known elections of dictatorial leaders such as Cuba’s Raul Castro and Kim Jung-il of North Korea.
Biden’s margin of victory in this batch of votes (99.9%) bested Bashar al-Assad’s 2007 margin (97.6%) and Raul Castro’s 2008 margin (99.4%). It matched Kim Jong-il’s 2009 margin (99.9%).
Shafer lamented that republican recount monitors, which are limited to one per 10 tables, continue to be kept at some distance from the counting tables. Shafer tweeted,
There is no telling what we missed under these unreasonable restrictions. The miscounted batch had been be signed off by two official counters.
Shafer said that GOP attorneys have turned over an affidavit from their monitor to the Georgia Secretary of State requesting an investigation.
