An inmate in Central California killed a convicted child molester by bashing him over the head with a cane, prison officials said. Jonathan Watson is accused of killing David Bobb, who was serving a life sentence for the sexual assault of a child under 14.
Watson, 41, allegedly battered the child molester, David Bobb, 48, and another prisoner Thursday around 2:30 p.m. at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran.
Both Bobb and the other prisoner suffered head wounds. Bobb , who was serving a life sentence for “aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14 years old” in San Diego County, died while being transferred to medical facilities. The other inmate, who remains unidentified, is still in critical condition.
