Trump’s Other Trial

With the new indictment against Trump in Florida, it’s easy to forget the other trials going on around him. Let us not forget about Trump’s trial going on involving blackmail payments to Stormy Daniels. Hearing about the judge’s immigrant background in Trump’s show trial does not really surprise me.  Merchan was born in Bogota, Colombia and came to the U.S. at age six. The left has been expert at getting their judges and their juries to rule on trials for them.

Children are more likely to vote for the same party as their parents.  The fact that Colombian born Judge Juan Merchan has a daughter, Loren Merchan, who works on Democratic campaigns should not come as a surprise to anyone

Earlier, Donald Trump had criticized U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel who ruled in the Trump University trial.  Curiel’s parents were from Mexico and Trump rightly pointed this out.  It angered quite a few pundits, but in my “lived experience”, Trump was absolutely right.  To the surprise of no one, Curiel ruled against Trump U.  Donald Trump was right in criticizing Curiel as a Mexican who would rule against him.

Later on, the far leftist open borders crowd selected Curiel to rule in the case of a DACA recipient who had been deported by DHS.  Curiel would likely have ruled in his favor too, but the lawsuit was dropped

As I detailed in my experiences growing up in France for VDare, despite my spending three years inundated in French culture at a boarding school during the school year and at French summer camps, I came away from the experience still seeing myself as an American.  Three years to a child is more than five years to an adult, yet, an immigrant need only spend five years in the United States to become a U.S. citizen.  I would add that many of these immigrants are not inundated in American culture as they can watch Univision and speak Spanish at home.  If we think that an immigrant drops all affinity for their homeland upon immigrating to America, we are naïve.

Likewise, people who grow up even as second generation Americans often feel a great affinity for the land of their parents.  Frequently, they romanticize that land.    Lots of terrorists are second generation immigrants.

Alan Dershowitz made the point that if Judge Merchan does not rule in favor of the prosecution, he will find himself socially shunned in liberal New York City.  Dershowitz went on to say that judges are often moral cowards.

“This judge does not have the courage to be the one who people will point their finger at and say ‘That’s the judge that freed Donald Trump…’”.  Around 6:45 of the video https://rumble.com/v2gdjco-liberal-media-cancels-dershowitz-for-exposing-fraud-theory-alvin-bragg-conc.html

Judge Merchan has already presided over the criminal trial of the Trump Organization where the organization was convicted of 17 counts of tax fraud.  He’s also the judge in the criminal trial of Steve Bannon.  The Democrats could hardly hope for a more partisan judge.

Just like Alejandro Mayorkas feels no love for the Historic American nation, we can assume Merchan feels no love for Heritage Americans.

We can see Merchan’s bias already as he says with a straight face that he wants to try this case as expeditiously as possible, then postpones the trial till December 4th so that the trial will be happening close to the Republican primaries.

If anyone questions Merchan’s impartiality, the liberal media will raise a hissy fit just as they did with Judge Curiel.  Yet, Merchan’s impartiality is highly questionable.
