The County Board of Canvassers in Wayne County, Michigan, which includes the city of Detroit, has refused to certify the results of the November 3rd election. Jenna Ellis, one of the attorneys working on the Trump campaign’s election fraud investigations said in a tweet.
??BREAKING: This evening, the county board of canvassers in Wayne County, MI refused to certify the election results. If the state board follows suit, the Republican state legislator will select the electors. Huge win for @realDonaldTrump

The canvassing board deadlocked 2 to 2 on certifying the election results Tuesday. The vote was split along party lines in a democrat heavy county that broke for Joe Biden. The issue now goes to the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office and Board of State Canvassers.
At issue for the dissenting votes was the fact that the number of absentee votes on the poll books was “out of balance.” Similar issues reportedly had arisen in other elections in 2016 and 2020, but the results were certified anyway.
In a statement about the news, Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox said,
The people of Michigan deserve to know what happened in Wayne County on Election Day and the days following. I am proud that, due to the efforts of the Michigan Republican Party, the Republican National Committee and the Trump Campaign, enough evidence of irregularities and potential voter fraud was uncovered resulting in the Wayne County Board of Canvassers refusing to certify their election results. This action will allow more time for us to get to the bottom of these deeply troubling irregularities. The people of Michigan deserve fair, open and transparent elections, and we will continue to fight for just that.
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson made a statement that the state board has handed canvassing duties to the Bureau of Elections in the past and is prepared to do so again if required.

District House representative, Rashida Tlaib added her remarks in a tweet, claiming the decision put ‘politics over duty.”
It’s plain and simple, folks. The Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers put politics above their duty to our residents. Suggesting that all of Wayne County can be certified, EXCEPT for Detroit, is horrifying racist and a subversion of our democracy.

The decision is a win for the Trump campaign, which continues to fight for election integrity.
